cience, Research and Innovation PS Prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak attended the 20th meeting of the Sectoral Council on Education, Science and Technology, Culture and Sports held in Arusha, Tanzania, also present were, PS Higher Education, Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, PS for TVET, Dr. Esther Muoria and PS EAC Affairs, Dr. Caroline Karugu. The three-day conference aimed at enhancing collaboration between the EAC members states to enable the harmonization of sectors such as Education as a step towards achieving sustainable development through advances in fields such as Science, Research and Innovation which are great drivers in the push towards increased regional integration.
Discussions were also held on Science diplomacy and inclusion of emerging technologies such as nanotechnology & nuclear science & technology and how they are to be incorporated and embraced as drivers of socioeconomic development and also provide solutions in sectors such as health and agriculture
